Origin Story
After working at a handful of ‘legal recruiting shops’ our founder, Rohan was disillusioned with the industry.
Traditional legal recruiters prioritise the interests of law firms over the interests of lawyers.
Although, this appears logical (law firms are the ones who pay our fees after all), when you dig deeper, this doesn’t work for lawyers and law firms.
Placing in lawyers into firms, that do not align with their goals, leads to unhappy lawyers. Unhappy lawyers leave firms. Replacing lawyer’s costs time and money, leading to unhappy law firms. Vicious cycle.
Something had to change… and this is where Law Ladder was born.
Law Ladder is a legal search firm, that puts the needs of lawyers at the centre of everything we do.
We are not your typical legal recruiters. We do not “place” lawyers, and we most definitely do not “hunt heads”. What we do is much simpler.
We work with lawyers over the long term, to help them find their dream role. This maximises the happiness of lawyers, which maximises the happiness of law firms. Simple.
